In early 2020, I became the main designer at Architectural Blue, a company located in Palm Springs, California, and owned by Matthew Naylor. The company has been well-known in the desert for over 12 years for its unique design and quality work.
I work in collaboration with Matthew Naylor where we exchange our ideas to create special environments.
My focus when approaching a project is creating a unique space for the homeowner to spend special moments with family and friends.
My challenge is to create an exterior living area that best fits the architecture of the house, the natural surroundings of the property, and the design inside the client’s home.
With these criteria, I also need to follow my clients’ demands and understand their needs.
Once I have gotten to know the space and the client’s personality, my ideas begin to emerge. The project comes together based on my imagination, elements that inspire me, articles I have read, places I have been…
My creativity is one of my strengths and never abandons me while I design a new project. I have the capacity to envision how the landscape will look when it is done while also thinking about the nuts and bolts of the project being accomplished.
While creating, I use a software that not only helps me visualize the aspects of the design and possible material choices but also enables my clients to see a 3D rendering of their future backyard.
Once the design details are agreed upon, I continue to manage and monitor the project through its stages. I can then make adjustments and fine-tune details along the way.
